Well, it's been a while and a lot has happened since I have gotten home from Miami. When I first got back I was really worried because I didn't have a job anymore. I didn't know how I was going to pay my bills. But God took care of me like He always does. I found a job through a temp agency working nights at a shipping facility. I don't like the job and it is really tiring but at least I have a job for the moment. I hope that I don't have to keep this job for long because I don't know how long I can stand it. The work environment is not a very good one at all. If anyone knows of any job openings that I might not be aware of, it would definately be worth looking into.
Another thing that has happened since I have gotten back is I have gotten involved with the formation of a new church. I am on the formation team and the leadership team for a new forming church in the Hudson Oaks/Willow Park area called Light of the World United Methodist Church. I am very excited about what God is starting to do with the church and what role that He may have for me in this exciting ministry that we are beginning. Some of the things that I am doing for the church are creating a website and starting up the youth ministry. If you want to check out the new website I am working on (though it is still a work in progress) then you can go to
http://www.lightoftheworldumc.org/index.php. Please let me know what you think. I have the header in place like I want it but I still need suggestions on the main body of the main page. I would like to have the site up and running and fully functional soon. Also, if you know of any youth in the area mentioned above that do not have a church home and might be interested in joining a small group or attending one of many fun youth events that we will be having let me know. You can leave a comment on this post with their contact info or I can relay my info to you if you let me know. I am hoping to get the small group up and running very soon. The more the better because I would actually like to begin with two groups running at the same time.
