First day of work

Well, my first day of work wasn't too bad. It was an orientation so it involved a lot of paperwork and listening to people talk about all the benefits that the city offers. There were some good parts to the day though. I rather enjoyed the tour of city hall that we were taken on and I also liked learning about all of the services and stuff that the city offers. Overall, it wasn't too bad of a day. Tomorrow I start training and contrary to popular belief it is going to be downtown. The bad thing is that they are not providing parking for us so we have to find our own. This won't be a very easy thing to do since most of the parking costs an arm and a leg. We were told about a few places we could park for little or no money but then we have to walk about 6 blocks to get to where we are going. I am not too thrilled about this because winter is well on the way and we are expecting freezing temperatures with sleet tomorrow. I just hope it's not pouring down when I get to work. Guess I better pack an umbrella huh?
