Ok, so I am driving down the freeway near downtown Fort Worth on Thursday evening singing along to my new Building 429 CD and something slams into my windshield. I'm thinking its an attack or an alien invasion or something (ok maybe not) but as I regain control of myself (and the vehicle) I come to the realization that most likely somebody has launched a rock off of the bridge and watched it fall and slam into my windshield as I travel down the freeway at 70 mph. It takes me forever to get turned around to go look for the culprit who just caused $200 in damage to my vehicle and by the time I get back to the two bridges that I figure it would have come from the guilty party had already left. So now I am stuck with a messed up windshield that is gonna cost me a whole bunch to repair and there is nobody sitting in jail wishing they hadn't decided to throw rocks off the bridge at passing vehicles.I guess I should be glad that they didn't kill me because if it had been a slightly bigger rock at a slightly greater speed and it had hit the drivers side instead I might not be alive to talk about the incident. And although I didn't catch them they got the satisfaction of hitting a vehicle and made a run for it instead of hitting someone else's vehicle and killing or injuring them. I am annoyed and frustrated but I guess I will live and things are just that, things, there is no reason to stress about a broken windshield right? At least it was something that could be replaced (and will be replaced on Monday). Anyway, enough ranting for tonight. I'm out.
