Compared to the recent Texas weather today has been mild. There is a steady breeze going and there is at least some cloud cover to keep us a bit cooler. I still wouldn't want to be outside for too long though. Anyway, just enjoying my day off and not doing much of anything other than going shopping. I am getting a new cell phone in a little while so those of you who have my current number be advised it will most probably no longer be working after today unless by some miracle I manage to keep that number. So, the new phone that I am getting is the newest samsung model and it is really awesome. I will also have a lot more minutes and text messages and data transfer on my plan. While I appreciate the parents who have kept me on their plan for a long time now, I am quite excited to get my own plan so that I don't have to worry about what shows up on the bill anymore. On their plan since we share minutes it is hard to know when you are causing the family to go over on the minutes. Anyway, enough rambling about a stupid phone. Thats pretty much the only thing going on though. I am still taking classes online and I am still doing church and work and using what little time I have left being bored or finding something to do. Took some photos the other day to post on the myspace. Thought I would throw em up here too just for the heck of it. Here ya go. Laterz .
And thus another chapter of my life begins.....Ok, so here is whats going on in my neck of the woods. At work I went to some training last week and got certified as a law enforcement database operator. Surprisingly it was mostly stuff I already knew about. Anyway, so I have been working for the city for over a year and a half now and have a good permanent position in the information center. I have been telling myself ever since I started working here that I was going to go back to school since the city pays for most of it and now I am finally doing it. I figure since I have gotten through dispatch training and PIC training and now have a lot better job security I should do something to further my career and my life. I need a better education so that I can go farther in life.
Therefore, I have enrolled in online classes with the University of Phoenix and will be completing my degree online. I know that it will probably take me a while doing it part time like this but I know that whatever it takes I will do. It shouldnt take me long to get my associates and then its on to my bachelors degree. I just hope that as I advance in my education I will be able to advance in jobs within the city since I am supposed to stay with them for a few years after completing the degree. In the end my goal is to make a good enough living that I can get a nice house somewhere in this area and not have to deal with apartment living anymore.
Whatever happens I know God is taking care of me and anything is possible through Him. Even things that I have not yet imagined for myself.
