Sometimes I get so wrapped in what I want or how things just aren't going my way that I forget that it's not about me. My life should not always be based on my own wants and desires but on God's will for my life. I forget what God tells me is the right thing to do and I conform to the worlds standards. So today I decided to take a step back and look at the situation I am really in. My job is not really as bad as I make it to be some days and when it is bad it is usually because of my negative reaction to a stressful situation. I need to live above the impact of negative influences around me and reach for God's outstretched arms because I know that He is there just waiting for me.

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. (Romans 12:2)


Let me only live for You Lord. Let every song, every word, every breath be for You. Let me bring everything I am to You every moment of every day. When I go to work let me work for You. When I am with my family let me see your work in their lives. Let me love in the same way I am loved by You. When I sing and play guitar let my only audience be You. Amen
